Baroody Camps will host 11 WEEKS OF SUMMER DAY CAMP (June 18th-August 31st) at Little Hunting Park.

We are excited to partner with them again this year!

Every summer, our themed day camp for Rising Kindergarteners through 4th grade is one of our most popular!  Each week campers are invited to participate in modules like Science Mania, Fit Kids, Arts & Craftivities, and Outdoor Ed focused around a weekly theme.  Our themes are age appropriate, have been designed to build creativity and curiosity, and are also based on children's interests.

Campers are able to swim daily at Little Hunting Park (members AND non-members invited).  Our day camp is an 11-week program and campers can attend a week or multiple weeks.  Below are the details about our 2018 summer camp themes!

Quick Highlights include:

  • Summer Pass option - NEW!
  • Swimming daily
  • Science, Art, Fit Kids, & Outdoor Ed focused on a fun theme
  • 11-week program for campers.
  • Flexible start time: choice of 9am or 10am
  • Lunch Ordering Options at The Gator Grill

Weather Policy

Before camp starts for the day:
In the event of inclement weather, our Site Director/counselors will make phone calls to parents. Based on the days weather outlook, we will:
  • Start camp at a later time
  • Offer a substitute location, or
  • Cancel camp
During camp:
In the event of inclement weather, staff and campers will remain under the Baroody tent if light-medium rain. If heavy rain, thunder, lightning, etc. all staff and campers will seek shelter in the changing rooms/bathrooms. The Site Director/counselors will bring supplies (activities, first aid, meds) and contact information.

The Site Director/counselors will make phone calls to parents. Based on the rest of the days weather outlook, we will:
  • Continue camp outside once weather subsides
  • Cancel camp and request parents pick up campers

LHP and Baroody Camps Extreme Heat Policy

  • IF the temperature will reach 95 degrees, we will reduce camp hours to 9am-1pm. This camp day will include lunch time.
  • IF the temperature will reach 100 degrees,  we will cancel camps for the day. The option of attending a different location MAY be available.
*We will always notify parents if this policy is in effect or of any changes to the schedule.

Swim & Tennis Practice/Lessons Policy

Any child that needs to leave camp to go to practice/lessons must be signed out by an adult.

LHP instructors will likely agree to signing children out for their practice/lesson and then sign them back in after. Parents must make this arrangement with instructors and are required to add the instructor(s) as authorized pick up persons on their General Information Form (see the Site Director). Parents will no longer be permitted to sign campers into camps and then take them to practice.

Refund Policy

REFUND POLICIES:
  • If an alternate camp location is offered, families will NOT be issued a refund even if camper does not attend.
  • Refunds WILL BE issued if camp is canceled due to weather and NO alternate location is offered.
  • If camp closes early due to inclement weather, NO refunds will be issued.
**Baroody Camps will give as much notice as possible.
